The short version
ActorWebs is a done-for-you web design service. You brief them, they build you a WordPress site, and it goes live in roughly two to four weeks. Web For Actors is a product. You put your name in, it finds your credits and reels, and you have a site in about ninety seconds. Neither of those is better in the abstract. They suit different people and different budgets.

The difference that shows up later
The build is the part everyone compares, and it is the part that matters least. What matters is the third year, when you have a new credit, two new reels and a headshot from a different photographer.
On a built-for-you site, every one of those is a task for somebody. ActorWebs price that honestly: $20 for each new photo, video or audio embed, or you use part of the fifteen minutes a month the service plan includes. That is a fair price for someone else's time. It is still a bill and a wait.
Web For Actors was built the other way round. When a new credit lands on IMDb or a new reel goes up on YouTube, your site catches up on its own. Nobody has to be asked and nothing has to be paid for. That is the actual product, and it is the reason the free plan can exist at all.
Where ActorWebs is the better choice
Genuinely, and not as a courtesy:
- You want to hand it over completely. If the appeal is describing what you want once and never opening an editor, hire a studio. That is what a studio is for.
- You want something that looks like nobody else's. A custom project at $4,500 is a designer working on your site specifically. Our designs are shared, and while there are ninety-eight of them, somebody else has the same one.
- Your site has to do something unusual. A shop, a members area, a booking system. WordPress will do those. We will not.
Where we are the better choice
- You want it today. Ninety seconds against two to four weeks.
- Your credits change often. Working actors add credits faster than they want to email about them.
- You are not ready to spend $4,500, or anything, to find out whether a website helps you.
- You want to change the look later without rebuilding. Switching design here does not touch your content.
See it before deciding
The free plan is a complete actor website and it does not expire. Put your name in and look at the result before you compare anything.
Look at the designs
Ninety-eight of them, and you can switch between them whenever you like without rebuilding your site.
